MUNICH, Feb 13: Relations between India and Pakistan are better today than at any time in recent history, India's new National Security Adviser M.K. Narayanan said on Sunday.
"Our dialogue today is better than for a very long time," Mr Narayanan told an international conference on security issues here. "India-Pakistan relations are definitely improving at a pace and in a direction that would have been unthinkable several years ago," he said.
Mr Narayanan said ties had improved through a number of initiatives, including the installation of a 'vibrant back-channel' of communication between the Indian prime ministers and the Pakistani president. Without giving details, however, he cautioned that relations were not bright on every front.
