ISLAMABAD, Feb 3: Interior Minister Aftab Ahmed Khan Sherpao on Wednesday said Pakistan would only share information with the US relating to terror targets in tribal areas of the country but the US forces deployed in Afghanistan would never be allowed to hunt terrorists inside Pakistan.

Talking to reporters after the inauguration of Khayaban-i-Iqbal Road, the minister said as a leading partner of international alliance against terrorism, Pakistan had to share all information with the US-led peace force to destroy terrorist network in the Pakistan-Afghanistan border areas.

"We have agreements with some countries to counter terrorism under which we share information and we will continue to offer the same," the minister said. Pakistan has already deployed its own security forces on the Pakistan-Afghanistan border to hit terror targets.

The government has announced repeatedly that country's security forces had made major dents on Al-Qaeda network and over 1000 top Al-Qaeda leaders and operatives who had sought refuge in Wana, had been killed.

In reply to a question about the murder of deputy chief of Kazakh mission to Pakistan Sapargali Aubakirov, who was shot dead in Islamabad on Jan 19, the minister said three suspects had been taken into custody and further investigations were under way.

Mr Sherpao said the killing of Kazakh envoy was an act of terrorism and it was not an ordinary crime. "We have found some clues which confirm that it was a terrorist incident," he added.
