ISLAMABAD, Feb 3: Federal Minister for Labour, Manpower and Overseas Pakistanis Ghulam Sarwar Khan on Thursday said sectors D-13 and E-13 would be acquired to provide residential facilities to the overseas Pakistanis.

The minister observed this in a meeting held here to review progress on the acquisition of land. Mr Khan said there were three options for the development of D-13 and E-13.

He said the three options were the development of the sector by the Overseas Pakistanis Foundation (OPF) itself or through a joint venture with the CDA or through investment by overseas Pakistanis.

The land acquisition process, the minister said, would soon be initiated after the selection of any of the three options. Bottlenecks regarding delay in the start of development work on Zone-V of the OPF housing scheme were being examined and discussed thoroughly and it had been decided to remove the hurdles without further delay.
