MUZAFFARABAD, Feb 2: Islamabad-based British diplomats on Tuesday praised the standard of teaching at a school run here by an NGO for children whose families have been affected by the Kashmir conflict.
"The standard of teaching and dedication of school staff is encouraging both for the future of the children and the region," remarked Peter Boxer, First Secretary (Political) in the British High Commission in Islamabad, after speaking to students and teachers during a visit to Sawera Model School.
The school was set up by Sawera Foundation for the children of Kashmiri martyrs, refugees and AJK residents affected by years of Indian shelling along the LoC.
Mr Boxer and his colleague Andrew Priestley were on a two-day visit to the AJK capital to interact with Kashmiri politicians, intellectuals and journalists to seek their views on the Kashmir dispute in the backdrop of improvement in relations between India and Pakistan.
