HYDERABAD, Feb 2: Consul-General of Russian Federation Vladimir P. Mikhay love has said that his country can cooperate with Pakistan in oil exploration and setting up of heavy industry.

He was speaking at the inaugural ceremony of a Russian language course at the International Academy of Foreign Languages and a photo exhibition at the Faran Public Higher Secondary School in Latifabad here on Monday. The consul general said that the language course would go a long way in promoting trade and cultural relations between the two countries.

Earlier, the president of the Sindh Historical, Educational and Cultural Society, Nazar Mohammad Qureshi, in his welcome speech expressed the hope that the exhibition and the language course would help in strengthening relations between Russian Federation and Pakistan.

Traders' leader Mohammad Amin Khatri said that vast opportunities existed for increasing trade between the two countries and urged local industrialists and businessmen to take advantage of the existing opportunities.

A Russian film was exhibited on the occasion. MPA Abdul Rehman Rajput, senior vice-president of the Hyderabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry Mohammad Akram Ansari and others attended the function.

NAZIM: City Taluka Nazim Haji Moinuddin Sheikh has said that the taluka municipal administration officials are duty bound to provide services to people and added that people knew those who are serving them or creating hurdles in delivery of services.
