Malaysia offers jobs to doctors

KARACHI, Jan 28: The Malaysian government has expressed its keen interest to procure the services of medical professionals and paramedics for its health care facilities.

A delegation, comprising officials from Malaysian Health Department, headed by Prof Datu bin Razzaq, called on Health Advisor to the Sindh Chief Minister, Faisal Malik Gabol, here on Friday. He said Kuala Lumpur National Hospital, a 1000-bed medical-cum-teaching facility requires medical experts, doctors and para-medics.

He also informed the advisor about the package to be offered to the selected professionals, adding initially the selected professionals would be offered a two-year contract which in accordance with performances, could be extended.

The delegates expressed the dire need for cardiologists, neurologists, gynaecologists and paediatricians along with medical teachers. Prof Razzaq said Malaysia being an Islamic country would prefer hiring qualified professionals from the Islamic world. He was assured by the Sindh health advisor of all cooperation. -APP
