ISLAMABAD, May 28: Federal Minister for Communications and Railway Lt-Gen (Rtd) Javed Ashraf Qazi has said that the entire National Highway from Peshawar to Karachi (N-5) will be handed over to the efficient Motorway Police by the end of this year.

He was speaking at a ceremony held here to give away prizes and certificates to the policemen who had helped out a family when it met an accident near Gujar Khan while driving from Rawalpindi to Kharian a few days ago.

The policemen, who not only took the injured to the hospital but also returned millions of rupees that they had found in the damaged car, included Malik Mohammad Yousaf, Noor Mohammad, Naeem Hayat Tiwana, Riyasat Ali, Syed Azhar Hussain and Mohammad Athar. Each of them was given a Rs25,000 reward.
