PESHAWAR, Jan 15: Opposition leader in the National Assembly Maulana Fazlur Rehman said on Friday that People's Party Parliamentarian would support ongoing protest movement and would not take side with President Gen Pervez Musharraf.

Speaking at a protest rally here on Friday, he appreciated the decision of the Alliance for the Restoration of Democracy (ARD) for joining Muttahidda Majlis-i-Amal (MMA)'s anti-government drive.

The procession started from Maddani Mosque and concluded at Qissa Khwani Bazaar. The protesters chanted anti-Musharraf and anti-US slogans. MMA leaders and parliamentarians led the rally.
