PFUJ regrets APNS statement

KARACHI, Jan 15: The Pakistan Federal Union of Journalists (PFUJ) has urged the prime minister to advice newspaper owners to act rationally and implement the 7th Wage Board award.

Reacting to the statement of the All Pakistan Newspapers Society (APNS) published on Saturday, PFUJ president Ahfazur Rahman regretted that the APNS was trying to exert pressure on the chairman of the Implementation Tribunal.

The PFUJ president, in a statement issued here on Saturday, said that though the newspaper owners were legally bound by the wage board decision, they were bent upon using delaying tactics despite repeated resolutions passed by the national and four provincial assemblies.
