KARACHI, Jan 15: Three people were shot dead at a shop in Liaquatabad on Saturday evening by unidentified masked motorcyclists.

Police said that Haroon, 55, his son Imran, 27, and a servant Hanif, 28, were sitting in their shop of decoration service at Liaquatabad No 2, when three men on a motorcycle with their faces covered, came there and started indiscriminate firing with automatic weapons.

As a result, Haroon and Hanif died on the spot and Imran succumbed to his wounds on his way to hospital. The firing created a panic in the area and shops were closed.

The police reached the spot and found the empties of automatic weapons. Imran was an employee at a court, while Hanif belonged to Khairpur. Their affiliation with a political or religious party could not be known immediately.
