Hectic schedule for Jrs in 2005

KARACHI, Jan 14: Pakistan Juniors will play a return series against Indian juniors in late February and March, Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) announced on Friday.

Pakistan juniors got a hectic schedule of matches during the year 2005 including participation in the Junior World Cup in Amstelveen in late June and July.

The first phase of the series will be played in India from Feb 25 to March 1 while later both teams will travel to Pakistan to play second series. The PHF programme makes no mention of dates, neither venue nor number of series.

Pakistan will also be hosting a Junior International tournament in Lahore from March 7 to 13. Pakistan juniors will also be appearing in invitation event in Kuala Lumpur to be held there from March 26 to April 3.

Pakistan juniors will also visit Europe from June 30 to July 10 prior to Junior World Cup to be held at Amsterdam from June 30 to July 10. Pakistan's other international engagements include holding of 4-nation women event at Murree in June and senior team's tour of Europe.

Pakistan senior team will also participate in the 27th Champions Trophy in Chennai, India in November. -APP
