DADU, Jan 14: EDO Health Dr Dhani Bux Thebo has said that about 2,682 patients of the leishmaniasis skin disease have been reported in the district from Dec 31 to Jan 14.

He was speaking at a ceremony of receiving medicines from the BHP oil and gas company here on Friday. The field manager of the Zamzama Gas Plant of the BHP Billiton, Mr Geoff Watson, handed over 40,000 Flygle tablets, 3,000 Flygle syrups, 1,160 cotton rolls and other medicines for patients.

Dr Thebo said patients at the Civil Hospital Dadu and all taluka hospitals, health centres were being provided injections and other medicines. He said medical camps had been established at 12 places.

He said patients from Larkana and Naushahro Feroze had also been reported at hospitals in Khai- rpur Nathan Shah and Dadu.
