Changes made in PPP Sindh setup

KARACHI, Jan 13: Amid major reorganization, the Sindh chapter of the Pakistan Peoples Party now has a new secretary general, deputy secretary general and information secretary, party sources said on Thursday , as the party's Sindh council remained in session.

Mr Nafees Siddiqui has been assigned the job of secretary general, a post which was held by Mr Rashid Rabbani together with the presidency of the party's Karachi chapter.

Mr Manzoor Wassan will be the new deputy secretary general, relieving Mola Bux Chandio, who has been appointed president of Study Circle of the provincial chapter in place of Shah Mohammad Shah.

According to sources, Mrs Fahmida Mirza will now be the provincial information secretary while Mr Waqar Mehdi has been asked to continue as her deputy as well in addition to holding charge of Karachi chapter's information secretary post. Ejaz Jakhrani has been made president of Jacobabad district. Many more changes were in the offing, party sources said.
