MUZAFFARABAD, Jan 13: The AJK government will construct four youth hostels in four districts, says AJK minister for Youth, Culture and Sports Deevan Ali Khan Chaughti.

The hostels, the minister told Dawn on Thursday, would be constructed under its federal youth policy close to the sports stadiums in Muzaffarabad, Mirpur, Kotli and Rawalakot.

Work on stadiums in Kotli and Rawalakot was yet to begin and March 30 had been fixed as the final date for filing work, design, tendering and issuance of work orders of the two projects whose estimated cost is Rs190 million and Rs150 million, respectively, the minister said.

He said that the sports and the public works departments had been told to ready both projects for inauguration by mid-January next year. He said that these departments had been directed to expedite work at the Narul stadium in Muzaffarabad and complete it by April 30.
