KARACHI, Jan 11: Pakistan People's Party leader Asif Ali Zardari has condemned the gang-rape of a lady doctor in Sui and asked the government to send a fact-finding mission comprising parliamentarians to the area.

According to Bilawal House media cell spokesman Ejaz Durrani, Mr Zardari, in a statement on Tuesday maintained that occurrence of such incidents in Balochistan, especially in the prevailing situation, would not augur well for the future of the country.

"The government has to be more serious in nabbing the culprits whosoever involved in the incident," he said. The PPP leader, who is presently in Dubai with his family, said that deteriorating law and order situation in Pakistan in general and Balochistan in particular had disturbed the patriotic and democratic forces of Pakistan. He also condemned the incidents in Gilgit.
