RAWALPINDI, Jan 4: Two persons were killed while two others injured in separate road accidents in Rawalpindi and Islamabad on Tuesday, police said.

Abdul Ghafoor, a resident of Bhakar, was going on a bicycle when a bus (T-3030) hit him in the jurisdiction of RA Bazaar police. The cyclist died on the spot.

In another accident, Abdul Sattar was killed while two of his relatives travelling along with him in a cab sustained injuries after a truck smashed into their vehicle on Pirwadhai road. Police arrested the truck driver and impounded the vehicle.

POLICE PATROL: The acting SSP Islamabad, Azam Khan Taimoori, has urged the police officers to make the police patrolling more effective to capture the proclaimed offenders (POs).

He was addressing the participants of the "crime meeting" held at his office on Tuesday. SP Mehboob Aslam, DSP Investigation Ishaq Waraich and other officials attended the meeting. Mr Taimoori asked the police officers to chalk out a plan for tracing the POs and court absconders and submit a report on a daily basis.
