PESHAWAR, Jan 3: Vice Chancellor of the Gomal University in Dera Ismail Khan Wazirzada Idress Saddozai has urged industrialists to utilize research of the university scholars for promotion of their products.

He was inaugurating a six-day in-service teaching training course for physics teachers organized by the university's physics department in collaboration with the Higher Education Commission, Islamabad.

He said that there was an urgent need for teachers to work hard for improving their image. Shafiullah Khan, representative of the HEC, said that the Commission was increasing the number of participants from next year.

He said that the Gomal University had cooperated with the HEC in organizing a large number of training programmes at Dera Ismail Khan. Later, Prof Dr Javed Jehan Baloch, chairman of the physics department, highlighted the steps taken by the university for promoting research in physics. He expressed the hope that such training courses would be organized in other parts of the province. -APP
