ARD to continue struggle: Shah

KHAIRPUR, Jan 2: Sindh People's Party Parliamentarians president Syed Qaim Ali Shah has observed that the Alliance for Restoration of Democracy will play its role for restoration of democracy.

Talking to party activists at the Jilani House here on Sunday, he said that other democratic forces would also support the ARD struggle. Mr Shah regretted that prices of food and consumer items had increased manifold due to which people were finding it difficult to meet both ends.

He said President Gen Pervez Musharraf had announced that alleviation of poverty would be his priority but he had failed to reduce poverty. About the Qambar killings, he said that the government was constituting new committees to hide facts regarding the incident to save the culprits. Referring to bifurcation of districts, he said it would not harm the vote bank of his party.
