MADRID, Dec 13: Real Madrid's Primera Liga match against Real Sociedad was abandoned on Sunday with the scores level at 1-1 after police received a warning that a bomb would explode at the stadium at 2000 GMT.
Close to 70,000 fans together with players and officials from both clubs evacuated the Bernabeu stadium a short time after the warning was received. panish media reported that Basque newspaper Gara had received a phone call in the name of Basque separatist group ETA.
Real took the lead just before the break when Brazilian striker Ronaldo cracked home with his left foot. Socieded levelled the match midway through the second half when Turkish striker smashed home with an acrobatic finish.
Earlier Valencia had put their European woes behind them to notch their fourth Primera Liga win in a row with a 1-0 victory at home to basement side Numancia. Centre-half Carlos Marchena scored the winner on 21 minutes when he headed in from point-blank range at the far post after Numancia keeper had palmed a Vicente free kick off the line.
The win put Claudio Ranieri's side - who exited the Champions League midweek - into provisional second spot in the table, 10 points behind leaders Barcelona who snatched a late 2-1 win away to Albacete on Saturday.
Deportivo Coruna, who exited the Champions League group phase without scoring a goal after their 5-0 defeat against Monaco on Wednesday, were only able to manage a 2-2 draw at home to Sevilla, a result that left them in eighth place in the table.
Uruguayan striker Richard Morales scored his fifth goal in five games when he put Osasuna ahead against Real Zaragoza in the fourth minute at El Sadar, but the Navarrans ended up drawing the match 2-2.

LONDON: Arsenal and Chelsea shared the spoils in their English Premiership clash on Sunday, Chelsea maintaining their five- point lead over their hosts with a 2-2 draw at High bury.
Jose Mourinho's Chelsea - looking for their first league win at High bury for 14 years - could have pulled away in the title race but were pegged back by a determined Arsenal.
Chelsea lead the title with 40 points from 17 matches - four ahead of second-placed Everton and five ahead of Arsenal in third. French striker Thierry Henry took just 75 seconds to make his mark in the pulsating match, taking a header from Jose Antonio Reyes and blasting the ball past Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech for 1-0.
