KARACHI, May 27: The decision to cut the summer vacation in the educational institutions by 15 days has been reversed and now it will be for the usual two months beginning on June 1 instead of June 15 as had been announced earlier.

This was stated by the executive district officer, Education, City government, Prof Rais Alvi, while talking to APP on Monday.

He said it had been decided to shut the government and private schools and colleges from June 1 in view of the prevailing hot weather.

Prof Alvi said parents and guardians had been complaining that they as well as their children faced a lot of inconveniences because of the sweltering heat.
