PESHAWAR, Dec 7: NWFP Health Minister Inayatullah has said that the government is preparing a plan for public-private participation for better utilization of health units.

Highlighting the importance of public-private partnership in health sector, Mr Inayatullah said that it was an effective system for providing better services to the people. The government alone could not cater to the needs of the growing population, he added.

The minister said that the government was working on a phased plan to upgrade health units and hospitals. He said that Rs500,000 had been sanctioned for the RHC Nahqi. Earlier the minister inaugurated an eye operation theatre and laid the foundation stone of a mosque on the hospital's premises. -PPI
