Pervaiz in Chandigarh

CHANDIGARH, Dec 3: Punjab Chief Minister Pervaiz Elahi spent the first night of his visit to Indian Punjab at the historic residence of Raja Patiala, known as Moti Mahal.

The Chief Minister of Indian Punjab, Amrindar Singh, belongs to Patiala and is the son of Raja Patiala. The meal offered to the chief minister and his delegation at Moti Mahal was specially prepared by the family of Amrindar Singh.

He visited Chandigarh where he attended a conference of traders and industrialists. He held a question-answer session with the participants of the conference in which he stressed the need for promotion of trade ties between Pakistan and India.

He said that Kashmir was the core issue between Pakistan and India, which must be resolved. Pervaiz Elahi offered Juma prayers at Chandigarh's Jamia mosque and gave donation for its under-construction building. -APP
