KARACHI, Dec 2: Sindh Home Minister Rauf Siddiqui has said that 50,000 people would be benefited after functioning of the maternity home and dispensary of Nusrat Bhutto Colony.

He was addressing at the handing over ceremony of maternity home and dispensary building to the Sindh government. The building had been used by Sindh Rangers for their accommodation.

It was returned to Sindh government with the efforts of Sindh Home Minister as well as with the cooperation of Sindh Rangers DG Maj Gen Jawed Zia. Area MPA Bilqees Mukhtar also played an important role in this regard.

Area residents present at the ceremony expressed their delight over the return of building to the Sindh government which would be utilized for the welfare and provision of medical facilities to general public.

The residents also complained of increasing number of dacoities and sale of narcotics in the area. Rauf Siddiqui said that Sindh Rangers were playing an important role along with police for the establishment of law and order.

He directed both Rangers and police to jointly carry out operation for the elimination of narcotics in the area. Later, the home minister, MPA Bilqees Mukhtar and Col Abid of Sindh Rangers visited various sections of the building. -APP
