ISLAMABAD, Nov 24: Minister of State for Tourism Sumera Malik has said preparation of PC-1 of construction of Lahore-Delhi bus service terminal at Lahore and tourism house should be started soon.

Presiding over a meeting on the promotion of tourism here on Wednesday, the minister said upon taking charge of his office Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz had set targets to be achieved in tourism sector.

The first and the most important task is to introduce Pakistan's tourist attractions around the world and to promote Pakistan as a safe, tourist friendly destination for foreign tourists, she said.

For this purpose, the government has chalked out a strategy to participate, in collaboration with the private sector, in some of the most effective international tourism exhibitions, by setting up Pakistan Stands.

Federal Secretary Salim Gul Shaikh, PTDC Managing Director Malik Mohammad Habib Khan and other senior officials were also present in the briefing.
