ISLAMABAD, Nov 21: Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Anisa Zeb Tahirkheli on Sunday said Pakistan-China friendship was deep-rooted and time-tested and was getting stronger with the passage of time.

She was speaking at a luncheon meeting held in honour of the visiting Chinese delegation led by Vice Minister for Information Wang Guoqing.

The meeting was attended by Information Secretary Shahid Rafi, Director-General, Pakistan Broadcasting Corporation, Tarique Imam, Director-General, Associated Press of Pakistan, Fazalur Rehman Malik, Principal Information Officer Akram Shaheedi and other senior officers of the ministry and its allied departments.

Both sides exchanged views on bilateral matters and explored avenues for enhancing cooperation in media development. Ms Tahirkheli said the official news agencies of both the countries - Associated Press of Pakistan and Xinhua - were cooperating for bilateral news exchange and this collaboration would be enhanced. -APP
