ISLAMABAD, Nov 19: The Supreme Court will hear a bail application of former senator Asif Ali Zardari in the BMW reference on next Monday (Nov 22). The bail petition has been fixed before a three-member bench comprising Chief Justice Nazim Hussain Siddiqui, Justice Abdul Hameed Dogar and Justice Mian Shakirullah Jan.

Earlier the bail application of Mr Zardari had been adjourned as the three judges who were to hear his case were busy hearing another case on a larger bench.

Mr Zardari is accused of importing a 1993 model bullet proof BMW from Sweden in the name of a student to evade millions of rupees in customs duty during the second term of Benazir Bhutto's premiership. The total evasion of custom duties was estimated to be Rs14.2 million.
