ISLAMABAD, Nov 19: Kashmir cause, relations with India and other aspects of Pakistan's foreign policy should not be made part of biased politics. This suggestion was made in a meeting of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, presided over by Senator Mushahid Hussain Syed here on Friday.

The meeting said the Senate committee should be taken into confidence and multi-party consensus on country's foreign policy be facilitated. The participants discussed in detail the issue of Kashmir, Pakistan's policy on Kashmir and the country's relations with India.

During the meeting, Foreign Minister Khurshid Mehmood Kasuri briefed the participants on developments in Pakistan-India relations. Mushahid Hussain, commending the foreign minister for his contributions towards the peace process, appreciated taking the members of parliament into confidence over serious national issues.

Senators Khurshid Ahmed, Sardar Mahtab Ahmed, Maulana Samiul Haq, Tariq Azeem Khan, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Makhdoom Khusro Bakhtiar also voiced their opinions at the meeting.
