WINDHOEK, Nov 17: England's cricketers have landed in Namibia for the preamble to their tour of Zimbabwe. The squad will play all their warm-up cricket in southern African nation, travelling to Zimbabwe just two days before first One-day International.

Simon Jones, who has only played Tests for England, is keen to make a mark for the first time in shorter game. The paceman said: "It's not nice to be labelled just as a four-day player or a Test player."

Jones was speaking to reporters in Windhoek, where England play both their Namibian fixtures. He warned his county Glamorgan that he may look elsewhere if he is not given more of a chance to impress in their one-day side.

The only meaningful element of this tour is to see how well Bell, Prior and Pietersen do on a sort of international stage. Francois Erasmus, chairman of Cricket Namibia was excited about prospect of hosting Michael Vaughan's men. -Agencies
