ISLAMABAD, Nov 5: Three persons were killed and eight injured in different accidents, police said here on Friday. In the first incident, Mohammad Sohail , 25, died after being run over by a train near Noor Railway Station in the jurisdiction of Sabzi Mandi police station.

The body of the deceased was shifted to Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences for autopsy. In another incident, a man was killed and two others were injured when their car overturned and plunged into a ravine at Golra Toll Plaza.

Mohammad Babar, a resident of Lahore, was coming to Islamabad along with his two friends when he lost control of his vehicle which plunged into a ravine. He died on the spot.

In the third incident, a man was killed while six persons, including a woman and two boys, were injured when their car collided with another vehicle at NARC Chowk in the jurisdiction of Shahzad Town police station.

The police said the accident occurred when a Hiace (RIV- 7607), driven by Jamshaid Nazeer, crashed into a car (IDM-5210) driven by Faheem Khalil. The injured persons were shifted to Federal Government Services Hospital.

Later, four of them, who were in serious condition, were taken to Pims where Faheem died. The injured were identified as Zaib Rizwan, 25, Mohammad Rizwan, 28, Dawood Rizwan, 5, Moazzum Rizwan, 4, Mohammad Khalil, 25, and Jamshaid Nazeer, 52.
