KASUR, Oct 14: Three people were killed while another sustained injuries on Thursday when a speeding bus collided with a motorcycle-rickshaw at Lunda Phatak village, Pattoki.

Police said the motorcycle-rickshaw was going to Pattoki from Gahlan village when it was hit by the bus (LS-9234) coming from the opposite side. Consequently, Mubashar, Majeed and Anwar died on the spot while rickshaw driver Shahid sustained injuries.

He was admitted to the THQ Hospital, Pattoki, where his condition was stated to be stable. Pattoki Sadar police have registered a case against the absconding bus driver.

SHOT DEAD: A man was shot dead on resistance by four robbers at Meer Muhammad village, Raja Jang. Irfan Ali informed police that he along with his brother Arshad and driver Ilyas was coming from Manga Mandi to Kasur by a pick-up (LRC-825) when armed robbers signalled them to stop.

The robbers opened fire when the driver accelerated the speed instead. As a result, Arshad died on the spot. The police sent the body to hospital for autopsy. Raja Jang police have registered a case against the fleeing robbers.

LOOTED: Five armed dacoits on Thursday looted 107 tolas of gold, cash and other valuables from a house at Shadman Colony, Pattoki.
