DHAKA, Oct 14: The president of opposition Awami League, Sheikh Hasina, reacted sharply to Prime Minister Khaleda Zia s remarks that the opposition party was busy trying to oust her elected government from power with foreign help.

Khaleda Zia made the statement at a meeting On Tuesday. Reacting to Khaleda's remark, Hasina said on Wednesday that it was the BNP-Jamaat alliance government that came to power with the help of foreign powers.

"They should not utter such words because the prime minister knows it very well how to assume power riding on the shoulders of the foreign forces," said Hasina.
