KARACHI, Oct 1: A builder and a dermatologist suffered bullet wounds in two separate firing incidents in the city. Armed suspects shot at and injured a builder on Shahrah-i- Liaquat on Friday morning.

Police said that two suspects on a motorcycle opened fire at Rahim Jamot, 40, on Shahra-i-Liaquat and escaped. The wounded builder was taken to Civil Hospital. Doctors said that he had suffered head injury.

In Lyari, a dermatologist was shot at by an unknown suspect. Police said that Dr Badar Dhanani, 45, was examining his patient at his clinic near Bhatti Hall when a suspect opened fire at him and escaped. The doctor suffered two bullet wounds in his shoulder. He was rushed to Aga Khan Hospital.

Talking to Dawn from the hospital bed, Dr Dhanani said that he had no enmity with anyone nor he had received any threat prior to the attack. Dr Dhanani used to see patients at the OMI hospital in Saddar and at his clinic in Lyari.
