PESHAWAR, Sept 30: In a reshuffle of senior bureaucrats, the NWFP government ordered transfer of nine officials on Wednesday.

According to a notification, Lt-Col (retired) Wakil Khan Afridi, Secretary to the Government of NWFP, Local Government and Rural Development Department, has been posted as Chairman of the Forest Development Corporation, NWFP, in place of Mr Ghazi Marjan.

Mr Ghazi Marjan has been asked to report to the Establishment and Administration Department. He will take over as Chief Conservator of forest, NWFP, on Nov 1, 2004, after the retirement of Mr Mumtaz Khan on Oct 31, 2004.

Mr Mohammad Umar Khan Afridi, Managing Director, NWFP Health Foundation, has been posted in place of Lt-Col (retired) Wakil Khan Afridi. Mr Badshah Gul Wazir, Chairman of the provincial inspection team, NWFP, has been posted as Secretary to the Government of NWFP, Industries, Commerce, Labour, Mineral Development and Technical Education Department, in place of Mr Arbab Shah Rukh, who has been posted as Special Secretary to the Chief Minister, NWFP.

Mr Abdus Sammad Khan, Additional Secretary Finance Department, has been posted as Secretary to the Government of NWFP, Health Department, in place of Dr Ihsan-ul-Haq, who has been asked to report to the Establishment and Administration Department.

Mr Abdul Haleem, District Officer of Revenue and Estate in Lower Dir, has been posted as District Coordination Officer in Malakand, in his own pay and scale, in place of Capt (retired) Tariq Hayat, who has been posted as Director-General of Galiyat Development Authority.

According to the notification, Mr Hafiz Matiullah, member of provincial inspection team, NWFP, will look after the work of chairman, in addition to his own duties, till further orders.
