NA motion on fertilizer prices submitted

ISLAMABAD, Sept 29: The Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal on Wednesday submitted an adjournment motion in the National Assembly secretariat against increase in fertilizer prices.

The motion signed by Liaqat Baloch, Mohammad Hussain Mehnati, Dr Fareed Ahmed Paracha, Asadullah Bhutto, Hanif Abbasi, Dr Attaur Rahman, Ahmed Ghafoor and other MNAs says: "A few days before the start of the Rabi crop sowing season, the prices of fertilizers have once again been raised."

It said the hollowness of the government's claim of having given a relief package to farmers by lowering the fertilizer price by Rs100 per bag had been exposed.
