QUETTA, Sept 28: The Human Rights Commission of Pakistan organized a protest demonstration in front of the press club on Tuesday against extra-judicial killings by police and unsatisfactory law and order situation in Balochistan.

Balochistan HRCP Chairperson Zahoor Ahmed Shahwani said a man, Abdul Karim, was shot dead by police in front of his house but the killing was linked with Saturday's incident that claimed lives of three policemen.

He said the law enforcement agencies had killed three citizens in Khuzdar and two women in Dera Bugti during two months.

He said the HRCP had brought the issue to the notice of the governor, who had asked the commission to meet the chief secretary but the official had not given appointment for a meeting in 15 days and the response of the inspector-general of police was also not encouraging.
