MMA supreme council meets today

QUETTA, Sept 24: The Supreme Council of the Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal (MMA) will meet here on Saturday, a spokesman for the religious alliance, Balochistan Akhundzada Abdul Mateen, said here on Friday.

He said MMA's central president and parliamentary leader Qazi Hussain Ahmed will preside over the meeting. He is arriving here after a visit to Saudi Arabia.

According to MMA sources, the council would take up the issue of president's uniform and discuss the 17th Amendment in view of the statements of President Musharraf, Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz and other party leaders.
