KHAIRPUR, May 24: Four people died and 90 others fell unconscious as temprature rose to 50 degrees Celsius in Khairpur, Nawabshah and Naushahro Feroze districts on Friday.

Those fell victim to the scorching heat have been identified as Mohammed Achar, Mohammed Umer, Imran and Aijaz.

The roads and bazaars wore a deserted look as people preferred to remain indoors due to extreme heat.

Doctors advised the people to drink a lot of water and not to expose themselves to the sun.

Cold drink and ice shops did a roaring business throughout the day.
