Thumping victory for Army

ISLAMABAD, Sept 7: Pakistan Army demolioshed Afghan Club, Chaman, 6-0 while Naka Muhammadan, Karachi, beat Mardan Club 5-2 in matches of the National Football League on Tuesday.

Jaffar scored hat trick for Army in the rout of Afghan Club. He struck twice in the 10th and 35th minutes of the first half and then completed the hat trick in the 48th minute of the second half.

Shabbir scored two goals for Army-in the 35th and 36th minutes of the second half- while Riaz completed the tally for the soldiers in the last minute. In another match played at Mardan, Naka Muhammadan beat Mardan Club 5-2 with Ayub, Murad and Kamal Shah scoring one goal each for the winners in the 8th, 38th and 52nd minutes and Asif making a double strike in the 59th and 89th minutes. For Madan Club, Ahmad was on target in the 58th and 79th minutes.
