WASHINGTON, Sept 5: President Gen Pervez Musharraf is expected to meet US President George W. Bush in New York on Sept 22, officials say. It will be a breakfast meeting without a set agenda, the sources said.

Hours later, President Musharraf will have his first meeting with Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh. And on Sept 23, Mr Singh will also have a breakfast meeting with Mr Bush. In a recent interview to New York's India Abroad newspaper Mr Bush said peace and security in South Asia would be "high priorities" in his second term.

"India and Pakistan are well aware of the stakes involved in the bilateral relationship. We are particularly concerned about the nuclear risk, as we want to be helpful," he said.
