Tendulkar doubtful: Ganguly

LONDON, Sept 3: Leading Indian batsman Sachin Tendulkar is doubtful for the ICC Champions Trophy, captain Saurav Ganguly said after his side's 70-run defeat by England in the second one-day international on Friday.

Tendulkar missed the recent triangular series in the Netherlands with tennis elbow and has not yet played in the three-match series against England with one game to go. "He is seriously doubtful," Ganguly told reporters.

The 12-team tournament starts on Sept 10 with India's first match on Sept 11 against Kenya in Southampton. India also play arch-rivals Pakistan on Sept 19 at Edgbaston, the last match before the semifinals. -Reuters
