HYDERABAD, Sept 3: The supervisory committee of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement, Hyderabad, has said that people who are disposing of municipal property at throwaway prices were neither sincere with the city nor with the people.

In a statement issued here on Thursday, the in-charge and members of the committee accused the Hyderabad city nazim of disposing of the Bakra Mandi plot at a throwaway price on commission.

The statement said the sale of the plot created hurdles in the construction of a girls college in the locality. The members, however, claimed that efforts were being made to ensure establishment of the college on the plot.

They alleged that the city nazim was now trying to dispose of the main municipal office, the Elite Cinema plot, market fire station and other plots in connivance with a builders mafia for the sake of commission.

They claimed that due to inefficiency of the municipal authorities, the entire city had turned into a garbage dump and said that the exponents of religion had been fully exposed.

Meanwhile, Haq Parast members of the national and provincial assemblies, Khalid Wahab MNA and Arshad Shah MPA, visited the the Nadra mobile camps set up at Islamic Chowk, Faqir ka Pir at the request of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement and expressed satisfaction over the performance of the staff.
