SIALKOT, Sept 3: Scores of villagers demonstrated outside the offices of the district administration on Friday to mark their protest against MPA Chaudhry Khush Akhtar Subhani, who had allegedly got freed criminals from police custody.

Led by Hundal Union Council Nazim Baba Gujjar, the protesters brandished placards and chanted slogans against the police and the MPA who, they said, got freed from the Saddar police station custody three suspects - Rasheed alias Sheeda, Rafiq alias Patwari and Jehangir alias Jangu.

According to the FIR, the three men had molested labourer Muhammad Ashfaq Mughal's son Safiyaan after kidnapping him from his house on Aug 30 last. They also poured wine in the mouth of the 11-year-old and left him in critical condition.

The villagers further alleged that Chaudhry Khush got the three men freed on Thursday night. Sialkot DPO Nisar Ahmad Saroya assured the protesters that stern action would be taken against the MPA.

When contacted by newsmen, the MPA denied allegations and said it was a propaganda against him by his political rivals.
