LAHORE, Sept 2: The PIA's central reservation control system is being computerized to facilitate passengers. This was stated by PIA Chairman Ahmad Saeed while speaking at a district and cargo managers conference here on Thursday.
He said the computerized system would save passengers from hassle in getting their seats booked and confirmed. He said the schedule of cockpit and cabin crew would also be computerized within two months.
He appreciated the efforts of the district and cargo managers for achieving their targets despite financial constraints. He said there were difficult times ahead due to increase in fuel prices in the international market.
He directed the district managers to visit their respective areas, including the interior Sindh and Azad Kashmir, to evaluate passenger and cargo sales and revenue activities.
Mr Saeed said the airline had earned Rs1.4 billion in the first six months of the fiscal year. Marketing Director Kamran Hasan briefed the chairman on the performance of the marketing wing.
