SWABI, Aug 31: Swabi Qaumi Mahaz MPA Dr Mohammad Salim has parted ways with the MMA-led government in the province and said that he would support the opposition parties in the NWFP.

Speaking at a press conference here on Tuesday, he alleged that Chief Minister Akram Durrani ignored his constituency while approving development projects and allocating funds.

He said: "Roads are dilapidated, hospital and basic health units deserted, water supply schemes in a shambles, schools are overcrowded and electricity supply is nominal. Moreover, people from my constituency are not employed and even the allocated job quota is flouted by the MMA leaders."

Dr Salim, who is also the chairman of the SQM, said that the MMA-led government was only working for Bannu, Tank, D. I. Khan and Buner while the remaining districts had been ignored.

"I would fight for the rights of the district along with the four other MPA of area. They had forced me to say adieu to the MMA government and from now on I will work according my own plans," he said.
