KARACHI, Aug 31: Feroz Mehmood Bhatti, Judge, Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC-II) for Karachi division, on Tuesday fixed Sept 9 for indictment of 10 accused belonging to the Jundullah in six cases of terrorism.

On Tuesday, copies of statements of prosecution witnesses, recorded under Section 161 Cr PC against the accused, were provided to the accused.

The cases in which they will be formally indicted include firing on rangers, murder of five policemen in Gulistan-i-Johar, PACC bomb blast case, Sonu Nigam concert bomb blast in Darakhshan, Bible Society bomb blast and murder case of two policemen in Model Colony.

They are also accused in a case pertaining to attack on corps commander. The accused include Ata-ur-Rahman, ring leader, Shehzad Bajwa, Shehzad Mukhtar, Khurram Saifullah, Najeeb, Shoaib, Uzair Abdullah, Rao Khalid, Danish and Yaqoob.

The same court also deferred indictment of Dr Akmal Waheed and Arshad Waheed till Sept 9 in a case registered against them by the Gulshan-i-Iqbal Police. They were charged with harbouring terrorists, providing medical care to alleged terrorists injured during acts of terrorism. Both the cases are being tried inside Karachi Central Prison for security reasons. -APP
