LANDI KOTAL, Aug 24: An activist of Bara Peace Committee was killed while his brother was seriously wounded when their rivals opened fire on them in Bara on Tuesday. Two groups had reportedly come to the office of Bara Peace Committee to resolve a property dispute.
On their way back home, Alif Khan and Mohammad Akbar opened fire at each other after an exchange of hot words. The firing resulted in the killing of Mohammad Akbar on the spot while his younger brother, Ibad Akbar, sustained bullet injuries.
The firing incident occurred near Shalobar Chowk. The Alif Khan group also reportedly abducted Amanullah Zakhakhel, who had accompanied Mohammad Akbar to the meeting of the peace committee.
The Bara political administration had registered a case against Alif Khan. Meanwhile, the Amir of Bara Peace Committee had also convened a meeting to look into the matter.
HOUSE DEMOLISHED: Activists of Bara Peace Committee on Tuesday burnt the house of Wilayat Shah in Arjali Nadee area of Shalobar. Wilayat Shah was found guilty of killing Ismail Khan a few days back. The committee had also imposed a fine of Rs500,000 on Wilayat Shah.
