KARACHI, Aug 24: A security guard, who was kidnapped on Monday, was stabbed to death on early Tuesday morning. According to police, the body of Abdul Sattar was found from the defunct Karachi Municipal Corporation's depot located in Lyari within the jurisdiction of Chakiwara police station.

Police said that the body was shifted to Civil Hospital for postmortem examination. Hospital sources said that the victim had suffered injury with a blunt object. Police suspect some personal enmity as a possible motive behind the killing. However, they said that they were investigating the case.

In another incident, a middle-aged man was stabbed to death by unknown persons within Aziz Bhatti police limits on Tuesday. Sources in the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre said that the victim identified as Malick Ilyas, 47, had suffered multiple wounds. However, Aziz Bhatti police station didn't have details of the incident.

ACCIDENT: A young man died in an accident on Preedy Street. Police said that Kartab was knocked down by a speeding pickup (KG-2064) belonging to the Cafe Student. He was rushed to the Civil Hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead on arrival.
