Zakat fund for poor patients

SUKKUR, May 23: Ghotki District Co-ordination Officer Israr Ahmed announced that a sum of Rs650,000 from the Zakat fund had been released for poor patients so that they could get adequate health facilities.

He was presiding over a meeting which was attended by doctors and officers of the district health management.

He said that more funds would be released to the health department so that deserving patients of the district could be provided health facilities.

AUCTION: Ghotki District Officer (Revenue and Estate) Ali Dino announced that the auction regarding lease of total 22-30 acres of land of Taluka Daharki would be held on June 6 in his office at the irrigation rest house, Mirpur Mathelo.

He said that total 3-32 acres and 18-38 acres of land available in Deh Jung and Chanad respectively would be leased out for a period of three years (Karif 2002 to 2005).

EYE CAMP: The Al-Shifa Trust Eye Hospital, Sukkur, is organizing a free Eye Surgery Camp at the Civil Hospital, Mirpurkhas, from June 4 to 8.

According to the executive director of the hospital, OPD will be carried out on June 4, Surgery and OPD will be held from June 5 to 7.

Similarly, Post operation treatment will be provided on June 8.

REHABILITATION WORK: The Naib Nazim of Sukkur, Iqbal Dawood, along with Nasarullah Qureshi, Nazim of UC-13, inspected the Azizabad-Qureshi Goth’s rehabilitation work of surface drainage during his visit to the Goth.

The assistant engineer of the public health engineering, Sukkur, briefed the Nazim about the progress of the work.

He said the work, whose estimated cost is Rs645,000, would be completed by June 30.
