ISLAMABAD, Aug 18: The Higher Education Commission (HEC) has announced that the GRE test for award of 1,000 indigenous fellowships will be held on August 29. According to a press release, the fellowships are part of the 5,000 fellowship programme, which the government had announced for the higher education sector.

The test would start at 10am at centres set up in major cities of the country. The press release said the test would be GRE General type on old pattern and it would be conducted by National Testing Service (NTS). From more than 14,000 candidates, who have applied for these fellowships, about 13,000 are being called for the test.
