LAHORE, Aug 12: Despite an unbeaten 69 by Qaiser Abbas, Pakistan 'A' lost by two-run against hosts Kenya in the opening match of three-nation one-day tournament at Sir Ali Muslim Club Ground in Nairobi on Thursday.
Pakistan 'A' were all out for 194 in 34.5 overs after Kenya scored 196 for eight in a match restricted to 35 overs each side. Naveed Qureshi (42) and Faisal Iqbal (47) were other notable scorers for the tourists.
For Kenya, former captain Maurice Odumbe made an undefeated 64 while Hitesh Modi contributed 49. Meanwhile, opener Shadab Kabir will leave for Nairobi on Friday morning from Karachi to join the Pakistan 'A' team. Shadab replaces Salman Butt, who had been called back from Kenya to join the national camp starting at the Qadhafi Stadium from Friday.
